When we say fraud, we mean a company reimbursing drivers for home charges they made with their own personal EV rather than their business EV.
Rightcharge offers two methods of fraud-prevention:
1. Vehicle reporting: business vehicle charging data is cross-referenced with home charger data to check which charges were made by the business vehicle. This requires a vehicle that can integrate with Rightcharge.
2. Driver reporting: if activated by your admin, you can manually select which home charging sessions were undertaken by your personal EV, and which were performed by your business EV. This does not require a vehicle that can integrate with Rightcharge.
With vehicle reporting, you cannot manually change which vehicle is assigned to a charging session - this is performed automatically using data shared from the integrated business vehicle.
With driver reporting, here's how to manually change which vehicle is assigned to a charging session:
On mobile
1. Open the Rightcharge app
2. Click 'Sessions' at the bottom of the screen
3. Search for / scroll to the session in question
4. Click the toggle next to 'Personal EV' or 'Business EV' to switch between the two.
On desktop
1. Open the Rightcharge website
2. Click 'Sessions'
3. On the left of the session in question, click the tick-box to select it
4. Click the waving man / briefcase in the top-right to change the vehicle type to personal / business as necessary.
You can ask your fleet admin to change the default assigned vehicle type to business or personal.
