Deactivating a Driver
Overview
Deactivating a driver removes their access to the Rightcharge platform and card. However, to ensure accurate billing and reimbursements, deactivation happens in stages rather than instantly.
Steps to Deactivate a Driver (For Admins)
- Go to the Fleet tab
- Find the driver you want to deactivate
- Click the three dots (⋯) in the Edit column next to their name
- Select Delete user
What Happens Next?
Once “Delete user” is selected, the driver enters Deactivation Pending status for 30 days.
Why this happens:
- Allows completion of the billing cycle
- Ensures all home reimbursements and public charging costs are processed correctly
Status Timeline
1. Deactivation Pending (30 days)
- Driver can still log in
- Driver can view charging sessions
- Card remains active during this period
2. Inactive (after 30 days)
- Driver is marked as Inactive
- This status continues until the end of the billing cycle (1st of the following month)
3. Fully Deactivated
Once the billing cycle ends:
- Driver loses account access
- Charging card is fully disabled
- No further usage is possible
Immediate Deactivation (Urgent Cases)
If you need to:
- Revoke card access immediately, or
- Remove driver access straight away
Please contact our support team and we can action this manually.
