This guide covers the most common tasks fleet managers need to manage drivers, payments, uploads, charge cards, and reporting in Rightcharge.
How do I edit a driver’s vehicle registration?
You can update a driver’s vehicle registration directly in the web app.
Steps:
Log into the Rightcharge website
Go to the Users page
Scroll to the Actions column
Click the three dots next to the driver
Select Assign vehicle
Update the registration number
Click Assign vehicle to save
How do I validate or dispute manual uploads?
The best way to validate manual uploads is to ask drivers to upload proof when they submit their kWh usage.
If you believe an upload is incorrect:
We can review the upload with you
If it is incorrect, we will remove it so you are not reimbursing that charging
How do I change a driver’s payment access type?
You can update a driver’s payment access from the Users page in the web app.
Steps:
Go to the Users page
Scroll to the Actions column
Click the three dots next to the driver
Select Modify access
Choose the appropriate option
Payment access options:
-
Direct payment
Payments are made directly to the driver’s home energy account
-
Expenses
No payments are made to the home energy account
Drivers can download a one-click report showing their home charging costs to submit via expenses
-
No access
The driver does not have access to home reimbursement
Commonly used for admins who are not drivers
What should I do with a public charge card if a driver leaves?
If a driver leaves the business, ask them to return their public charge card.
The card can be reused for future drivers
Contact the Rightcharge Support team to have the card linked to a new driver
We do this to reduce waste and keep things simple.
Where can I find charging, cost, and carbon analytics?
Fleet-level charging, cost, and carbon analytics are available on the Overview pages in the Rightcharge app
Drivers can view their own charging and cost data in the My Charging section
