How do Intelligent Tariffs (or EV Tariffs) work on Rightcharge?

Intelligent tariffs, broadly, are an electricity plan that uses smart meter data to dynamically adjust energy prices based on real-time demand, allowing drivers to charge their electric vehicle (EV) at the cheapest times, typically during off-peak hours, by automatically managing their charging schedule through their energy provider. Essentially, it's a smart energy tariff specifically designed for EV owners to optimise charging costs.

With Rightcharge, provided you connected to the tariff with your supplier login details, we're able to see the exact rates for on and off peak usage. In some cases, the energy supplier may reimburse costs rather than update the exact cost per kWh, however this is currently only done by OVO. If this is the case with any drivers, please let the tech team know. They'll need to make updates on their end.
